On October 17, 1995, I was spending some time with the Lord during a three day period in which He called me to come aside and be alone with Him. I had started my forty-day fast with Him on October 10th and He had informed me, before the fast started, that He would show me things to come. He said that He would show them to me in the Spirit and He would show me how these things would be manifested in the physical realm. The Spirit of God told me to begin interceding to the Lord against the forces of evil and of satan. I began to pray in the Spirit waging warfare against the forces of darkness.
VISION
The Lord led me to intercede in the Spirit on behalf of the Body of Christ. While in the Spirit the Lord showed me a multitude of people of all nations and tongues standing on the various continents of the earth. There were many, many children in the crowd, some teenagers and there were a few adults. This mass of people is the state of the Body of Christ, at present. Many of us are still on the "sincere milk of the Word". As the Apostle Paul said to the church at Corinth (1 Corinthians 3:1-7). As I continued to pray, the Spirit said that this is why He is being poured out on God's children. It is His task is to bring us into Spiritual Maturity. His goal is to lead us into all Truth and Righteousness. I call Him our Personal Trainer. In Hebrews chapter 12, the word chasten means to train up a child, educate, to instruct, to discipline and to teach. The Holy Spirit, the only Personality of the Godhead abiding in the earth today "rears" us. He does the total job of Educating, Training, Instructing and Disciplining us until we arrive at the measure of the stature of the Fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4).
SPIRITUAL MATURITY
Spiritual Maturity is a must to do the works of Christ (Ephesians 4):
1. Crucifying the flesh - Dying to the life of self (Romans 8).
2. Submitting our will to God (Matthew 7:21, 12:50)
3. The Spirit-Led-Creator God cooperating with the Spirit of God (Romans 8, Hebrews 12).
As I continued to intercede the people looked like plants (Isaiah 61:3). It started to rain, and the plants started to grow. As the rain (Spirit) was poured upon them I began to see the people growing up. After a while I saw an army of adult men and women with the full "Armor" of God on and ready to wage war against the enemy. With this maturity will come a spirit of prayer that will come upon the Body of Christ and we will be praying for hours waging war against the enemy. Could you imagine the impact of the multiple members of the body worldwide engaging in warfare simultaneously? We will be using prayers of agreement while being led by the Spirit. THE ARMOR OF GOD
Ephesians 6:11-20 discusses the Armor of God that we as well-trained soldiers should wear. Remember it is the Armor of God. As a matter of fact, the Armor is God Himself. In Romans 13th chapter and 14th verse, we are told to put on Christ. In other words, we are supposed to array ourselves, clothe ourselves with the person, Life and Ability of Christ. When we do this, we (the Body not just a few individuals) will manifest the same works. We will go forth in the anointing power of the Holy Spirit and subdue our enemy. Then we will complete the works that the Father has destined us to do. For all Eternity we will know that we worked with the Lord and subdued His enemy (1 Corinthians 3:9). This is an exalted position and privilege. The Lord could have designed His conquest of satan differently, but He is allowing us to share in the victory and the spoils of war.
